Acne is a common condition which affects teenagers, adults, and can occur in pregnancy. It is due to inflammation and blockage of the hair follicles and the oil producing glands.
There are many different treatment options for acne. In our Acne Clinic we will develop a personalised skin care plan to address concerns such as redness, oiliness, sensitive skin, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, cysts, pigmentation and scarring. We also aim for holistic management, addressing underlying hormonal triggers and diet.
We offer the following acne managements:
Skin care regime: advice on cleansers, moisturisers, and sunscreen
Prescription creams
Oral antibiotics
Oral isotretinoin (‘Roaccutane’)
Skin peels
Intense pulsed light (IPL) for mild to moderate acne
Vascular laser for redness and broken blood vessels
